This is an adapter to allow you to use most third party filament spools on a Makerbot Replicator+ printer. This uses the factory spool mount, and is designed to be printed without any support. Due to the DFAM required to print with no support, there is an additional spacer ring that must be installed to prevent jams on certain brands of spools. The spacer is split, so you just force it onto the adapter and press it to the back. This will prevent the spools with larger holes from walking up the chamfer on the adapter. I have found that it is hit or miss as to if the spool requires the spacer, so I have them on all of my adapters just incase.
