MakerBot Watch Case

MakerBot Watch Case

A case for the MakerBot watch made out of laser cut 6mm clear acrylic. It can use up to an 18mm standard watch band. Instructions Once the parts are cut out, 3 holes need to be drilled in the face of the watch to allow the 3 buttons to pass through. The layers can then be stacked around the electronics board and held together by inserting the 2 metal rods through all the layers (mine are part of a wire coat hanger and a bit from an old broken printer). You will probably want to change the hole diameter to use whatever you have lying around. To stick it all together, remove the 2 end pieces, put a very small dab of hot glue on the end of the metal rod and quickly shove the end piece back on. This was enough to securely hold mine together. It is also optional to use the 2 smallest end pieces, I decided not to for mine. To use a 3D printer to make it, the parts just need to be extruded to 6mm in a CAD program and then exported. I would suggest using PLA so the LEDs are easily seen: http://store.makerbot.com/plastic/pla-4032d-5lb-coil.html
