MakerFarm Prusa i3v Heavy Duty X Carriage for Bulldog XL Extruder. Update: 12/11/2018 - Completely revised this design. Moved the extruder mounting closer to the X axis rail. This reduces deflection under accel/decel. Added slots to the extruder mount location for added compliance - Removed the fan bracket from the X-Carriage and added a stepper mount fan bracket where a small squirrel cage type fan can be mounted. - Changed the material type to ABS from PLA to prevent deforming under higher print bed temps. You can still use PLA if you prefer if you're going to print with lower print bed temps. - If you're using a laser cut wood frame Makerfarm printer be aware that taking the printer bed up to temps for printing ABS could cause the wood to warp. I reinforced my print bed with .060" aluminum sheet.
