MakerGear M2 Tool Holder with LCD Mount
thingiverse
This is a remix of an exceptional toolholder that I discovered here on Thingiverse. I installed a Full Graphic LCD panel on my printer and realized I needed a place to mount it. The ideal location was already occupied by my tool holder so I decided that I required a new version capable of handling all tasks. The LCD gets attached to the pad with Velcro, allowing it to be removed and used remotely if desired. I also angled the Allen key holders slightly. In the original design they dragged on the back of the filament spool and produced an annoying "clicking" sound that I found frustrating. The holder has been hollowed out to reduce print time and save plastic. Updates to r4 (8/23/15): --The retaining hook on the right side was made deeper to improve stability. --A square clearance hole was added so that it can be used with both versions of the Full-Graphic display (red PCB or white PCB). --A stiffening rib was added under the shelf to compensate for the extra hole. --Chamfers were added to the tops of holes to ease insertion of tools.
