Makergear Prusa - Glass Heat Bed

Makergear Prusa - Glass Heat Bed

thingiverse

A cutout design for a glass piece that you can put over the heatbed of a Prusa Mendel from Makergear. It has all the holes necessary for the screws plus a cutout to allow the connections and LED. Instructions I have created this part because the Prusa Mendel sold by Makergear has a heated PCB to build on, but it warps when heated. It gives bad prints because the build bed isn't perfectly flat. This piece of glass will be put over the PCB and under a layer of capton tape on which the build will happen. The holes are of two different sizes. 3mm (1/8th inch) and 4.75mm (3/16th inch). The DXF file can be used with a laser cutter to cut both the glass and the wood. Full details and assembly instructions are available here
