MakiBox Z Wobble Eliminator
thingiverse
This component replaces the stock bed support bracket at the end of the bed support arm. Completing this build necessitates a 6-inch piece of 3/4" wide by 1/8" thick aluminum angle extrusion, along with nuts, bolts, washers and lock washers, and a drill. The required materials can be found at any home improvement store. This bracket works with the stock MakiBox screws that hold the original bracket in place. Essentially, it slides on an aluminum extrusion mounted to the printer's wall, eliminating Z-axis wobble. Refer to the photos of the modification included above for more details. The part has been designed with tight tolerances; thus, depending on your printer's alignment, you may need to file down the channel in the bracket to accommodate the aluminum angle.
