I have made a new tutorial about Making Reuleaux Gears With Solidworks. These are the files used on the tutorial, plus some animations I made using the Reuleaux gear.I used a generic gear with a design table, from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8077 (MS Excel needed). To make the planetary: the Reuleaux Gear is made of gears 72M3 (diameter 216mm) and 18M3 (diameter 54mm), so the total diameter is (216+54)/2 = 135 [mm]. The Sun is 45M3, diameter 135 [mm]. So the Ring must be (Sun + 2*Planet) = 135+2*135 = 405 [mm], or 135M3.Modeled with Solidworks Student Design Kit 2018.Rendered with Simlab Composer 8 Mechanical Edition.Gifs made with PhotoScape.Renders edited with IrfanView. The 3D-PDF, FBX, BLENDER and SIMLAB files are animated.Model available in Solidworks 2018, Simlab Composer 8, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, DWF, Blender and FBX.
