I have a Makita 1900B Power Planer that is 30 years old, it's hard to find a vacuum attachment for the outlet port. So I used Tinkercad and cobbled something together. It works but you can't remove huge chips of material or it can clog but hey it's better than nothing.

I'm using it mostly for shaping surfboards so the material I'm removing is foam.

I also included a loop so a wire or zip tie can be used to loop around the tightening knob to just for some extra reinforcement but I find the screw holds just fine.

Hope this helps someone with this power planer.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Anycubic

Printer:

All-metal Mega

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.3

Infill:

100%

Filament: Any PLA+

Notes:

Print it with supports touching the build plate.

Category: Machine Tools
