Mamiya-16 film cartridge

Mamiya-16 film cartridge

thingiverse

A 3D printable film cartridge for the Mamiya-16. Print in PETG, 0.1mm layer height, 4 perimeters. The part is thin-walled, so all but the base should be perimeters. I've also printed these in ABS, but don't recommend it as the thin walls make it very hard to accurately and reliably print. Glue thin adhesive-backed black felt around the inside of the slots to form the light traps. After assembly, it works just like the original: pop off the lid and remove the spool. Use black electrical tape to attach a length of 16mm film onto the spool. Fit the spool to the cartridge port , then roll up the film in the other side. Fit the lids and hold them on with black electrical tape. For more detailed reloading instructions, see SubClub's website. This is a 3D model of what they call a "type D" cartridge: http://www.subclub.org/darkroom/typed.htm OpenSCAD files included in case modifications are needed.
