This fragment of dried mammoth flesh was recovered by L.S. Quackenbush during an expedition to Alaska in 1907 and 1908 (see https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/bibliography/89566#/summary) It was 3-D scanned on March 7, 2019 with a NextEngine Desktop 3-D scanner at the New York State Museum.
