Mana Pillar - MTG: Arena of the Planeswalkers

thingiverse

Hey guys I recently purchased AotP (MTG: Arena of the Planeswalkers) it brought back a lot of memories of when I used to play Heroscape. The front box has Chandra fighting Jace from some pillar, but it is not included terrain in the set! I wanted to make some paper craft versions with this but I wanted to get a visual of what I wanted. On the box it is pretty evident that there are different designs on some of the pillars, but it only ever shows two. The current uploaded AotP.Mana.Pillar.1 is the three pillars in the background. I am still playing with the one Chandra is actually standing on. I also included a blank file so that if you have the editing software you can create what ever design you want. How I Designed This I based the height off of the AotP cyrptoliths in the Innistrad Master set, as well as an average hex size for Heroscape/AotP. This resulted in a square pillar with B & W of 3.5cm, by height of 9cm. Still working on custom rules for AotP, but some suggestions: Scale(same as cryptoliths) A figure adjacent to a Mana Pillar may move to the top space by counting 4 spaces of movement. Mana Source At the begging of a players turn who controls a planeswalker who is currently on a Mana Pillar, role a 20 sided die. If the result is a 16 or higher draw an additional card this turn, and deal one damage to that Mana Pillar.
