Manananggal; the Philippines Vampire

Created for a uni project and hopefully to be put in a game at some point. The Manananggal. Also known as the ‘Philippines vampire’ it is depicted as a beautiful woman during the day and becomes a repulsive creature at night. Stories forewarn of the creatures otherworldly hunger for human blood to nourish the parasitic black bird that lives inside them. The most iconic trait of the Manananggal and the reasoning behind its name is its ability to separate its lower body from its upper body during its cannibalistic hunt. This is my interpretation of the legend on the Manananggal. I also got inspiration from the structure and movement of bats to achieve a more realistic creature.
