Mandalorian Vibroblade Boot Knife - WIP I created this with the idea of making a sort of hold-out vibroblade a certain bounty hunter might have hidden away as a last resort; I took inspiration from the Spartan Gladius and tried my best to fuse it with the futuristic/rugged Mandalorian style. It has a short haft and semi-low profile meant to be held in a sort of pistol grip (as in the image), using the thumb to cycle the power and the index finger to brace cross guard. I created this mostly in blender from several reference images from both canon and non-canon sources - mostly from the Knights of the Old Republic era - I would like to add a few more details such as: - A pommel and hook arrangement - A chain-link from that arrangement - A Mandalorian clan symbol/icon that hangs from the chain link - Make the power button a moving piece; captured with a heavy and satisfying *CLICK* In addition, to smooth out some edges and add some more complex topology to both the blade and powerpack (cross-guard). Finally, I would like to try a more tradition version with a tapered blade midway up and to slightly increase the over haft length.
