Manfred - WW1 RC Model Pilot Bust

Manfred - WW1 RC Model Pilot Bust

This is a remix to create a WW1 pilot bust that could be used in RC models. This one has been used in a Sopwith Pup and a Fokker DR1 Triplane both at 1/6 scale. Using Meshmixer the base was incorporated into the body, the jacket adjusted to represent a period leather one, the pilots headphone incorporated into the helmet along with the helmet altered to be similar to the ones in use at the time. The scarf was removed so a woollen one can be added after to blow in the breeze. It has been printed in pink (Manufacturer refers to it as Skin) PLA at 0.2mm height and 0% fill to reduce weight, It is quite strong enough for the task and very light weight like this, my 1/6 scale version weighed 12.5g. The Pilot was enlarged in Cura to be 86mm shoulder to shoulder size to give 1/6 scale. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 0% Notes: Support could be added under his nose and chin, some is there under the chin already, but it's probably more trouble than its worth. Once he's cleaned up and has a coat of paint it can't really be seen.
