Manta Colored in Haida (totem) artwork

This is My fist attempt at coloring/ sculpting the Haida ( pacific north west native amarican art) art onto a model. It was harder then I thought to get this too look right and I still dont like it. the reason why is because Haida artwork is vary flat with little dimension in it even when it come to their totems but I didnt wont to do anything too stylize for my first try at this and drawing this out first would have been better.
