Marble funerary statue of a maiden and a little girl

These freestanding figures were placed within a marble structure as grave monuments to honour the deceased. The older girl must have died in her teens, before marriage, for she wears her mantle pinned at the shoulders and hanging down her back, which was reserved for young virgins.  Both figures are downloadable separatly as well as together.
