Nothing to see here, just a different track waiting to be explored. Check out the prototype video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaU_-vEGtZ8. This track shines with optimal performance using two "marbles" powered by a 4.5-volt direct current power supply and a recommended motor as outlined in the instructions. I'm currently researching various track design approaches, and this intermediate step caught my attention due to its repetitive sound effects. The prototype was printed at high speed, resulting in a rough appearance, but it functions perfectly. As visible from this print speed, some sanding and filing are required to refine it if you opt for the same print speed. This project was designed using Sketchup Make 2015 and printed in PLA on a Makerbot Replicator 2 with Makerware 2.3.3.42 "Standard" Settings (.2mm layer height, 2 shells, 10% infill) at 200% print speed due to late-night fatigue.
