Four models of the Marianas Trench, Western Pacific. The models are scaled at map scales of 1:2,000,000 and 1:5,000,000 when printed at a size of 150mm. Each scale has a 1x and 5x vertical exaggeration version. Instructions These bathymetry models were created using data obtained from the British Oceanographic Data Centre (http://www.bodc.ac.uk). The tools required were MapWindowGIS (www.mapwindow.org) and Sketchup (sketchup.com) with the "Heightmap to Mesh" plugin. Cleanup was done with Netfabb and Meshlab (www.netfabb.com, meshlab.sourceforge.net, respectively).
