You may have to toy with the z scale to get this to fit just the way you want. It also works great for kids to use, especially if you clamp it down to a tabletop, etc. I spent a year developing this product for market, then ran out of time and energy to continue developing it. I continue to own all marks and rights -- you may download and make it for free! This is the original one-piece cap clamp for quick color-coding on whiteboard or flipchart. The teacher or presenter can now decide on one of six colors, grab it, use it, and put it back without even looking. This also has notches for insertion into a desk stand, for example for one-handed use. I originally designed it and built one out of wood just to help myself present math in a classroom -- color-coding is important to comprehension, but I'm colorblind! I recommend: black, black, red, green, blue, highlight color. Alternately I recommend: black, red, yellow, green, blue, purple. If requested, I can try to create one that will print on a smaller printer (i.e. 8" x 8" x 8" print volume). A four-by-four version would fit if printed already connected. Instructions In collaboration with a friend who is a master of CAD software, I used multiple measures to craft the design. We rapid prototyped it, then analyzed the fit of the caps and determined what other features should be added. We had three versions rapid prototyped over the course of five months. By the end of our study we determined the final version here, v3.8, to be market-ready. As a parent with a full-time job, doing the legwork to get this onto shelves proved impossible without sacrificing too much quality of life. It is also ready for such things as cap adapters, so we can create whiteboard marker cap -> other item holder adapters for the following: Fountain pen Hobby knife Measuring Tape Highlighter Small hand tools Glass working tools Files Each lower cap recess has a keyway so things like threaded adapters can be used, in case certain tools are screw-in only.
