Mason Jar Stand

Mason Jar Stand

Want to drain something through cheesecloth? This stand holds both standard and wide-mouthed mason jars - 2 3/4" (70mm) and 3 3/8" (86mm). I put it in a tupperware sandwich container, which allows for about 2/3 cup (160 ml) of water to drain out before reaching the lid of a standard-mouthed jar, and over 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) of water to drain from a wide-mouthed jar. I am using mine for sprouting seeds. I could also see it used in cheesemaking, when draining the whey from the curds. In either case, be aware that 3d printed parts are difficult to impossible to sanitize, with all of the seams, cracks, and voids, so there is a risk of illness if used for food or drink. Print Settings Printer: Rostock Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 25% Notes: Copy in photos are from a print scaled to 102% (although my printer isn't the most dimensionally accurate, it's not bad). The fit is loose, and I would suggest printing at 100% scale. How I Designed This Designed in Tinkercad
