Hi this is another entry to grundfos chalenge 2019This is a hydraulic gearbox with theoretically no backlash.The concept of this gear is quite simple: There are two gear pumps Pump one has a mass flow 1/1500 the mass flow of the second pump at the same rpmin closed circuit they are constrained to have the same masse flow which means gear pump two will turns 1500 times slower than pump one.the gears in the two pumps are exposed to the same pressurebut the gear area exposition to the pressure are lots bigger in the second gear which is kind similar to car jacka cfd simulation would be great to validate the theory but my hardware is not that powerful.
