Mass-Producible 3D-Printed Face Shield

### This Project is based on the following Design: https://thingiverse.com/thing:4233193 ### The Loading of the .3mf-File into Cura may take some time, even minutes. Just Drag'n'Drop the file in and leave it go for some time. It also uses much RAM and after some time, the loading bar at the bottom of the screen disappears, but Cura still loads... I made a mass-producible Face-Shield. It is lightweight, small and robust. ### For 1 Face-Shield, you need: 1 A4 Acrylic Sheet, 1 Elastic Band For Ender 3, Ultimaker 2 and Ultimaker 3, there are already prepared GCODEs for direct printing. For other Printers or quantities, you need to modify the Cura Settings. The Design is optimised for the use with Cura, other slicers are currently not supported/tested. The File "10 x Face-Shields (Stacked).3mf" contains 10 already stacked Face-Shields with all parts needed. If you want to produce less than 10, just load the file into Cura and hold down CTRL and right-klick on the items you want to remove. Then hit DEL and the parts get deleted. After that, check the Settings in Cura (here under section "Print Settings") and slice the model. Info about the ready-to-print GCODEs: 10x for Ender 3, optimised: 1 day, 5 hours, 31 minutes, 260g 10x for Ultimaker 2, default: 23 hours, 25 minutes, 260g 10x for Ultimaker 3, default: 1 day, 10 hours, 15 minutes, 267g ### Arrange Models by yourself (or Problem with .3mf-File-loading) If you are having issues with opening the .3mf file, containing 10 Face-Shields, you may not have enough RAM on your PC. You need to arrange the Models by yourself. Just load in the 3 STL-Files and multiplicate them as often as you want to print them at once. Next, group all "Shield_Hold.stl" Models together by holding down Shift and selecting all by left-click. Then right-click and "Group Models". Then, place the "Shield_Hold.stl" on top of each other, so that the first model's Z-Position is 0, the second is 10.6, the third is 21.2 and so on. Between two shield-holds, there is always a gap of 0.6 mm. The X- and Y-Position should be equal for all Shield-Holds to be on top of each other. The other Models ("Clip.stl" and "Face_Onlay.stl") can be placed whereever you want. Important: check the right Rotation of the parts, because they may not be rotated correctly! ### Settings for Printing with Cura (Important!): Wall Thickness: 1.2mm Layer-Hight: 0.2mm Infill: 18% Supporter: Activate, Everywhere Support Overhang Angle: 80 Support Wall Line Count: 0 Support Density: 0% Support Z Distance: 0.2 Minimum Support Area: 10 Support Inferface: Activate Support Interface Density: 33.333 Support Interface Pattern: Grid Minimum Support Interface Area: 10 Use Towers: Deactivate Extra Info for Ultimaker 2: Profile "Normal" Extra Info for Ultimaker 3: Profile "Normal" Infill: leave at 20% Wall Thickness: no change No Raft or Brim needed Slicing and loading of the File can take a while
