Mast sail casette

Mast sail casette

thingiverse

This is a printable casette that fits a Proctor mast used by some sail boats (in my case a Swedish Albin Viggen from 1972). It is used to prevent the mainsail slugs to exit out of the groove in the mast. Print one part of the left and right lower parts and several of the upper parts to fill the necessary gap. On my mast I needed 5 upper parts. Print a couple of fasteners to join the parts in the upper and lower slots. Print with 5 walls and 20% infill (PLA or PETG) Also print the plug in TPU with two walls and no infill to fit in the intake when the sail is hoisted. No supports needed Assemble the parts in the mast from the bigger intake below the boom goose neck and slide them up after fitting the fasteners.
