This bracket is commonly used to convert early Jeeps (with front and rear drum brakes) from a single reservoir master cylinder to a later model dual reservoir unit. This provides a much greater degree of safety should a problem develop with either the front or rear braking system. With a single reservoir system, if one end or corner of the brake system suffers a failure, the entire braking system is compromised. This bracket is available online through a few places for around $70 + shipping, but if you're handy with metal working you can make it yourself and save a few bucks. I've also included drawings that are dimensioned in such a way that you can either make the brackets from extrusions or from sheet metal to be bent on a brake.
