This is a cryptex game designed to help students learning basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Once they find the solution to the equation the cryptex will open and reveal whatever prize is left inside! The equation tumblers on the body do not effect the locking mechanism. They can be turned and snap into place to create numerous equations. The 2 tumblers on the cap are what lock and unlock the cryptex. They are designed to be able to change the answer to unlock it to match the answer to the equation on the body. Check the instructions for more info on assembly and how to change the unlock code. Instructions Body x 1 Body Cap x 1 Top x 1 Equation Symbols x 1 Equation Numbers x 2 Solution Numbers Inside x 2 Solution Numbers Outside x 2 All pieces may have to be scaled to fit different size printers For Body you can print the body, body cap, equation symbols an 2 equation numbers and assemble them after they print. Once you have the number and equation rings on the body you simply screw the cap on the secure them. For the Top the top, 2 solution numbers inside, and 2 solution numbers outside need to be printed and assembled in a specific order. First print the 2 solution numbers outside rings. These will need to be fit on the 2 solution numbers inside rings while they are printing. Before the top of the solution numbers outside ring print make sure to pause the print (if you set it to change filament it will pause and lower build plate on some printers) which will let you place to solution numbers outside rings on and get sealed in. Once you have 2 sets of inside and outside solution numbers printed and assembled you need to do the same thing with the Top. Print the top pausing the print to place the rings on before they get sealed in. The tolerances should allow all peaces to fit snug which is important to being able to spin the answer side freely and still be able to change the answer for each equation. To change the answer you have to line up the solution to "open" and while holding the inside ring spin the outside numbers till they snap to the new solution.
