Mausoleum of Jochi Khan In 1228-1230, during the “Mongol era”, Jochi Khan Mausoleum was built in the upper northern coast of the Kengir river, it was the first mausoleum in the territory of modern Zhezkazgan region. There is a wide plain when you look down at the Kengir River valley from the hill where the mausoleum is located.
