Mavic Air Drop

Mavic Air Drop

This harness for a "Mavic Air" drone weights only 25 grams (electronics included) and can drop 4 individual objects in sequence. It's controlled using a simple 4 button 433Mhz controller I reused form a keyfinder. I reverse engineered the protocol using Audacity. The electronics consist of: 1) ESP8285 M3 allowing OTA via WiFi connectivity. (Flashing this ESP is rather hard once soldered into a circuit). 2) The 433 Mhz receiver is a much better option than WiFi when it comes to range. 3) A small Servo (3.7g) to release the objects. 4) A 100mAh LiPo to power the whole thing. 5) A simple on/off switch was added as well. In the off state the LiPo can be charged. I wrote the software myself and will release it later after some cleanups on Github.
