Mavic Air Phone/Tablet Mount

Even though the iPad Mini just fits in the Mavic Air transmitter, it's not really a comfortable angle and lends itself to fighting glare when out in the sun. I wanted to make a more upright mount much like many out there using a plate and articulated holder. This is my version as none that I found quite fit the Air remote well. It uses a standard GoPro 1/4-20 tripod mount, but you could mount any number of small ballheads, etc. on top of the post. Using a GoPro mount lends itself to using any number of device holders. Search here on Thingivers for "GoPro Tripod Mount" for lots of examples. I took inspiration from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2524360 and in the photos I am using the iPad Mini holder from this source. There are three STL files. You can print the mount in two pieces or one. If you print in one piece you will need to use support inside the post. No support is necessary in two pieces if you print the post upside down. I think this makes for a nicer mounting surface for the GoPro mount. You will need to supply a 1/4-20 bolt to attach whatever mount you decide to put on top of the post. I used 5 minute epoxy to assemble the two parts.
