Max/TZXDuino Case & Lid

Max/TZXDuino Case & Lid

thingiverse

A simple, clean, snug fitting case and lid for my Arduino-based MaxDuino TZX player, currently being used to playback .tap and .tzx files on my ZX Spectrum. This was tricky! It took about 15 or so revisions before I was happy. The lid has a window which drops 2mm below and around the LCD, acting as a lock/key and making the screen flush with the lid. The Sinclair logo, text and spectrum lines are embossed and raised to around 1mm above the lid surface, and were rendered from a .svg file - if you wanted a different branding, I'm sure there are lots available. The coloured stripes were applied after using some vinyl. I've included an image to give you an idea of what the 'sort-of' finished product looks like, but it'll need redoing once I've replaced my FEP film. Here you'll find the objects in both .stl and .obj formats. If you need different dimensions and port locations, they are fully ungrouped at Tinkercad which can be modified and altered to your specific requirements: Case: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/hJYjxgVBQE1 Lid: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/grOm31R4Evk I hope this is useful to someone. Enjoy!
