MiniGuard offers a sleek design with dimensions without a card reader module measuring W=54 mm, H=117.2 mm, and D=36 mm, while dimensions with an attached card reader are W=71.4 mm, H=117.2 mm, and D=36 mm. To use the card reader, simply replace back cover #1 with back cover #2 and attach the module. The connection to the main PCB is made via copper lamels that touch when the card reader is attached. MiniGuard is waterproof due to o-ring sealants between the plastic plate under the keyboard and the main shell. Plastic parts are made from 15% glass reinforced Polyamide 66 or thermoplastic Polyurethane Shore 64-75 D, known for their abrasion loss, scratching resistance, and durability. These materials can be substituted with glass reinforced Polypropylene. The keyboard can also be made from plastic and sheet metal for increased vandal resistance. Snap-fits are used to attach parts together, eliminating the need for screws and simplifying assembly. LED lights on the PCB provide white, green, and red illumination through a transparent middle plate. The plastic parts are rigid and durable due to their thickness and material properties. Hot foil stamping is used for numbers, logos, and signs, and injection moulding is used for plastic parts manufacturing. Tooling and manufacturing of the parts are straightforward.
