Maximum Love Screwless Heart Gears

Maximum Love Screwless Heart Gears

thingiverse

This is the largest possible print of Emmett's Screwless Heart Gears on a Replicator. Weighing in at over 800 grams and taking 50 hours to print, this will prove to your loved one you love them the Maximum amount possible! Instructions Scale up the original parts 215% (except the pins, they have been pre-scaled). Use the modified screwless heart gear pins. Center and rotate the even numbered gears to fit on your build plate. Gears printed at 0.2mm layers, 10% infill, 2 shells. ABS at 120mm/s feed, 200mm/s travel - 230 degrees with Sailfish. I used 50% infill on the pins and 25% on the center piece. The pins have been modified slightly to fit easier and still retain a tight, smooth action. I still sand my pins and the holes of the center block with 300 - 600 grit sandpaper to make the gears turn as smoothly as possible. Sometimes I wipe them with acetone too. You can use the original pins scaled to match your print, but sanding will be required. Modified Screwless Heart Gear Pins @215%: https://tinkercad.com/things/6SoYQFaAM3Q
