This exquisite plate was unearthed in a lavish tomb within Group I at Holmul, Guatemala. It is estimated to have been crafted around 800 C.E., perhaps even slightly later. The stunning plate is now proudly showcased at the esteemed Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, located on the prestigious grounds of Harvard University (11-06-20/C5666). Sophisticated SFM photogrammetry techniques were employed to capture its image, utilizing Agisoft PhotoScan Pro in conjunction with a Canon 5D Mark II camera.
