Main version produced in 480 pieces, it was a two seat interceptor armed with 4 AIM-4 Falcon missiles. The weapons were loaded two each side of a rotating bay; it was also possible to load a rocket AIR-2 Genie with nuclear warhead. In service with the Air Defence Command from 1959 till 1971; then some Voodoos were transferred to the ANG till 1982. Last Voodoos to be withdrawn from service were the Canadian CF-101Bs in 1984.
