Mecanum Robot Platform

Mecanum Robot Platform

This is the mecanum wheel robot platform to go with my wheels (thing:1454685) which is currently a work in progress. The stepper motors (Nema17 65inoz) showed up this week but the stepper drivers A4988 will be some time. I'll post more as it is completed. Currently the design rolls and accommodates either an arduino uno or mega with plenty of room for batteries or add-ons that would mate to the frame's bolt patterns, see layout pdf. My intention is to use (4) A4988 set onto (2) mini breadboards located in the center structure. Initially, I plan to use an external power supply before I move to fully wireless design/programming. (I have no program yet) From there I will think about end effectors or what this platform could be used for. I look forward to see what other people come up with! Components Utilized in this design:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1454685http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26237https://grabcad.com/library/arduino-uno-5https://grabcad.com/library/reprap-stepstick-stepper-motor-driver-module-1https://grabcad.com/library/mini-breadboard Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Geeetech i3-C Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .3 Infill: 100% Notes: All the frame components are 2mm thk and automatically fell into 100% infill with my settings. Overall I would estimate the print time somewhere in the 8-10hr range as the wheels took about 3-4hr over 3 prints while I could only fit 2 frame pieces on my 110x110mm table at any given time. All components printed out of PLA with extruder temps 185-215° C with a glass bed temp. of 60°C. I used some light adhesive spray on smaller components all without brim, raft, or supports.
