Mech

Mech

thingiverse

A little mech character used to practice box modelling in Blender. Instructions The Blender file is included with the mesh separated into the following parts for export to .stl: Left and right halves of the body Left and Right legs Left and Right feet (although they are the same in reality) Left and Right cannons I printed each section on a Replicator2 with PLA and glued together. The body halves can be printed flat side down using a light fill (10%); the legs printed on their side without supports but warped a little; the feet printed right way up without supports; the cannons were printed vertically and were scaled up a bit to get them to stick to the platform. The .stl file with the complete mech in it is really just to demonstrate what it looks like. My print of this file with supports was pretty average. Someone with more know-how might have better luck with it. It does not stand up by itself :-)
