I customize hexes to fit most common printed hex maps used in mecha wargames. Top surfaces are scored between hexes but remain unmarked, so you'll need to mark features like light forests and heavy forests separately. This preserves the functionality of hills for later games on open hex maps, allowing you to swap and combine them freely.
