Mechanical Animation Display Mechanism

Mechanical Animation Display Mechanism

I had the idea to use a Geneva mechanism to display animations, since it allows for a pause on each frame while keeping a quick transition between them. I designed a 6-turn spherical Geneva mechanism that operates on a crank with the display being a slice of the base wheel as part of the TV screen. The design is very simple and optimized for 3D printing, no supports needed and minimal filing if at all. Glue is needed only for the buttons panel that is not mandatory. The TV is 50.00mm x 39.00mm x 30.00mm when assembled, not including the crank. Here is a video of the assembly process: https://youtu.be/wfQnY_P8WKs I used white stickers to draw on the screen and animation, since pens don't work well on PLA in my experience, they tend to smudge. If you print this please share your animations in the 'Makes' tab, and if you have any questions feel free to post them in the comments!
