Mechanical dice box

cults3d

This is an 8 container mechanical dice box (or pill box if you'd rather) that I have developed. It is a little tricky to print and requires some amount of either sanding or glue when assembling depending on how well tuned your printer is. I have included two formats for the base piece, one with the pins for the containers to spin around and one without. If printing without the pins you will need to print 8 pins seperately and glue them in place. I did this as I have test printed this twice, and with the second one two of these pins snapped off, so having them seperate seemed beneficial. To make this box you will need: -1x Box_base OR 1x Box_base_without_pins & 8x Base_pin -1x Box_top_prt_1 -1x Box_top_prt_2 -4x Compartment_4mm -4x Compartment_19mm -8x Con_rod -1x Piston_base -1x Piston_mid -1x Piston_top -1x Piston_wheel If you follow through the images it will detail the assembly instruction, with it being assembled up-side-down. I'd recommend test fitting at each stage before you glue/press fit the pieces together. It is a little tricky to get everything perfect and may take a little bit of wearing in, but after a bit of use it opens and closes smoothly.
