Mechanical Parts Library currently contains three parts for your projects: Gear, rack, and wheel. There are many customization options for each part. I am planning to extend this library in time. There are comments explaining modules, parameters and even the code itself. I am open to suggestions for what to include next. There is a customizer for gears: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1427458 This library is licensed with MIT license, since not listed here, I have chosen LGPL (which is compatible with MIT) from the list. The parts (physical or stl files) you create with this script is your own work and you may use them as you like. Features Gear Spur, helix, and double helix (herring bone) gears Customizable pressure angle Cutoff: so gears with 5 teeth possible even with pressure angle 0 (still not a good idea) Uses metric units Semi gears with reinforcing Multiple mounting hole shapes and features Different spacers to reduce material use: polar for equal angular spacing, circles for commonly used circular spacing, linear for equal distance spacing, polar ovals for nice looking spacers.
