Medallions for room divider

prusaprinters

Round 3d medallions designed for a wall divider scheme. As I printed them each is 160mm diameter and roughly 15mm thick. Each ring is mounted in the rectangular frame. (tracery-frame-narrow-v3.stl). This particular obsession started out with the gothic tracery file with 4 intersecting circles that I found on prusaprinters.org called masswerk.3mf. The mounting scheme is 3mm hardware coming in from the N, S, E and W. a square nut comes in from the back. I designed these with Fusion 360.

Print instructions

All the rings are printed using Prusament PETG Carnine RED. The frames with Prusament PETG Urban Grey. I used 0.2mm layers for the rings and 0.24mm layers for the frames. The two halves of the frames are aligned with 3.5mm dowels 18mm long. The print settings from prusa-slicer can be seen in the heart5.3mf file and are typical. I chose PETG because these will end up ouitside.
