This is a Medieval Catapult, sometimes refered to as a mangonel. This particular model features wooden beams held together by iron wraps and rivets. Tension wrapped ropes hold the lever arm in place, while ropes in the back are spun to pull the arm down. The basket is made of an iron frame. Though not quite as superior to the trebuchet, it's certainly a more effective siege engine than the ballista. I mean, I think. They're pretty similar, but the catapult looks visually sturdier than the ballista. I'm not an expert though. So.. Important Info Made with Blender 2.8 This model is part of the Siege Engine set. If you intend on creating new textures, modification of the UVs will be required. Includes very basic Texture and Specular Map. The model has been sized roughly to its real-world counterpart (9.5ft./2.9m.) but it may require resizing. Each file features the model as one large connected object, but the original .blend file is available and has the model broken up into the separate pieces it was built in.
