Medieval Mace head

Medieval Mace head

The medieval mace was a widely used knightly bludgeoning weapon, primarily tailored toward fighting armored opponents. This is a relatively simple mace design that works well for either props or replicas.  It has an octagonal center with studded faces, and a small accorn shaped spike adorning the curved, decorative top.   The socket is 6CM deep, designed to fit a 7-8mm radius shaft, with some light fitting work required, depending on the expansion of the printer and resin/filament used. When using a resin print, the mace head is finished well with acryllics or a wax finish such as rub n buff.  This style of head was often seen as part of an all steel weapon, but a bronze is color is still fairly accurate and highly attractive. *Not tested or recommended for sparring, combat, HEMA, etc.
