Megasquirt JimStim Housing

Great box for the Jimstim tester that mates perfectly to the assembled Megasquirt 2. As we all know, the Jimstim is an invaluable tool in constructing the Megasquirt 2. During construction, we join both the motherboard and Jimstim on a non conductive surface and go through our testing and adjustments. However once the MS2 is fully built and in its housing, the Jimstim will need to be propped up to attach to the DB37 connectors or else it will droop down and lose connection. Then there is the issue of having a stray wire or metal piece short the Jimstim's open PCB board. The housing I created not only puts the Jimstim exactly level with the MS2 so you can just slide the two units together, but it also has a mount for the 9v battery on the back so it doesn't just dangle. Also, I made it easy to install the PCB by just inserting the pot side into the notch and then just letting the other side drop into the box like closing a door. To secure the PCB so that it does not shift around or pop out of the housing, I used a extra metal screw I had from the MS2 heatsink (I think its a 4-40 x 1.0") and used it in the V2 voltage regulator heatsink hole that goes through the PCB (upper left near the DB37 connector). Pretty self contained unit now. I'm working on a dust cover that could easily be removed should you need to add jumpers or re configure the Jimstim. Good luck with your project and the fun just never stops :D
