The Mendocino motor is a solar-powered magnetically levitated electric motor. This motor consists of a four-sided rotor block with four polycrystalline 0,58 V solar cells (YH 46x76 see: http://www.conrad.com) and two coils (140 windings from 0,35mm lacquer-coated wire). Levitation magnets are neodymium-magnets (six 18x6x10 rings). There is an additional magnet that sits under the rotor block and provides a magnetic field for the rotor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osreQ-K0ta0
