This projects goal was for the end project to be easy to use and help you with your mental math. You use it by twisting to different dials to make and equation then you try to figure out the answer. Once you have the answer you twist the last two dials to show your answer. Custom Section Project: Mental Math Helper Objectives: If you make/use this math tool than you should expect to make your mental math better or even just get better a addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Audiences: I would think that the grades that benefit the most from using this tool is 1st grade through 3rd grade. Preparation: To use this project you don't really need to know anything or have anything but having glue to glue on the two caps would make it easier to use in addition to glue it also help to have some sort of sand paper or file just in case something does not fit right. This project was created to help people with their simple mental math. To use it you twist the first dial to to pick a number to start with. Next you want to twist the second dial to to choose what type of equation you want addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. Next you twist the 3rd dial to choose your second number to complete your equation. finally you do the math and you twist the last two dials to match the answer. If you choose to do something like 1+1 or 6-3 than you would express that on the last to dials like 02 and 03.
