Mephistopheles Tumbler The tumbler shown here features a pressed pattern known as Mephistopheles (4A-G-0131; height 3.4 inches). Drinking vessels in this pattern were made in Germany and the United States during the late nineteenth century. This example was recovered from a privy shaft located at 1018 Palmer Street, the former residence of members of the Cramp and Bumm families.
