Mercedes-Benz Renntransporter (1955) This vehicle, presented in 1954, is equipped with the 6-cylinder engine of the legendary 300 SL with butterfly doors. It was capable of speeds of up to 170 km/h and was used to transport Fangio's Silver Arrows to the F1 World Championships in 1955 and 1956. Unfortunately, the only original model has now disappeared, but an exact replica of the model built by Mercedes-Benz can be seen in the Mercedes-Benz Star Museum in Stuttgart.
