This is an accurate model of the SS Shieldhall, part of the UK's Historic Fleet and a preserved steamship that operates from Southampton in the United Kingdom. She spent her working life making regular trips from Glasgow, Scotland, down the River Clyde and around the Isle of Arran. These steamships had a tradition, dating back to the First World War, of taking organised parties of passengers on their trips during the summer. The model is also representative of a classic 1955 cargo vessel and would look equally at home in a convoy from the mid 1930's. Graceful lines, steam powered and a real classic of the seas.
