Mesh Coasters (MMU)

<p>I love cold drinks in the summertime. What I do not love is water condensate getting everywhere, especially on my wood surfaced tables.</p><p>So, I designed these colorful mesh coasters. There's a mesh that holds the drink a couple millimeters above the rest of the coaster creating a reservoir to hold water condensate from your drink until it evaporates. The mesh is printed separately and confidently snaps into place, but can be removed for cleaning and replaced again. I've had mine in service now for nearly 2 years and I still love them every time I glance at them.</p><p>I printed these in 6 colors so that family members and guests can remember which drink is theirs and a nice holder to keep them tidy until they're needed again.</p><p>I printed all these in PLA. If I was more into hot drinks, I'd consider ASA or PETG. If the mesh part comes out stringy you must resist the temptation to use a heatgun to clean it up. It will shrink and no longer fit.</p><p>If you don't need the color on the inside of the coaster bottom, these could easily be printed without an MMU.</p>
