Metal Defender Voltron Wing Joint Fix

The Target Exclusive Metal Defender Voltron is a great 8 inch, combinable Voltron with a few problems that can be fixed, depending on your mod skills. One problem is that they skimped on a joint at the back of the wings that would allow the wings to face forward in Voltron mode. This is nearly false advertisement as the back of the box clearly has them facing this way. Well, in about 15 minutes or so, you can have two joints that you can use to get the direction you desire. Just plug the wings into the holes in the joints, then push the printed part into where the wing plug should go. I printed mine at 0.3mm and 20% infill, though I don't believe the infill matters much. It should print without supports. Once done, use a knife to scrape off the support block. If for some reason you scrape a bit too much off, one old toy fixer trick is to get some clear nail polish and brush a bit of it on the printed plug. Let it dry, and this should add the tiny amount of thickness you need to get a friction fit. This technique works for a large number of toys that have loose joints. Just make sure it dries before reinserting it.
